Granny Duty

Hi , Lorien from GetTheFreedomDream here. I've got Granny duty today, one of the highlights of my week. My oldest daughter waits tables twice a week for family fun money and the Granny's get to mind the kids. Most of the time, the other Granny gets to do it because she's closer and I see the kids as often as I like. It's her chance to have them. But she's having some medical issues that make it hard for her to have little Syd (9 months old) both days so I'm pinch hitting. I wasn't willing for my own kids to ever go to daycare, my grand kids aren't going either. I kept Cy and Isaac when they were babies so I don't mind that Grammy Smokey got Chase and now Sydney. Like I said I get to spend as much time with them as I want. I am very grateful to have the ability to step in and help whenever it's needed. Sunday is generally a day of contemplation for me. I look at the week that has just passed; the choices I've made and the actions I've taken and see how they stack up against my goals. For the most part, I am pleased. I have a spread sheet I use to keep myself accountable to the things I wish to do on a regular basis. Keeps me honest about where my time actually goes. Mondays find me focused and moving forward. When a choice presents itself around usage of time, I have very clear desired outcomes in my life and I make the choice that moves me towards them.
